TATTOO REMOVAL

If you are dissatisfied with your tattoo for any reason and want to get it erased, it is possible to remove your tattoo by using laser methods.

Q-switch laser system breaks down the pigments. The broken pigments of tattoo are eliminated by our cells in time. The success of the process depends on the color and depth of the tattoo and the color of skin. Dark tattoos are more responsive as there is much more contrast with the skin.

Tattoos can not be eliminated completely; however, almost complete results are obtained in dark tattoos. Fading and making the tattoo invisible is the main objective.

Collection of detailed patient anamnesis, patient examination, collection of the individual’s expectations, information about the procedure, photographing before the procedure, and evaluation of the results after the procedure are performed. No tests are required. Sunbath or solarium should be avoided before the procedure.

Topical (superficial) anesthetics are administered 15-20 minutes prior to the procedure. Laser shots are performed on the areas based on the individual’s needs. Swelling and flush occur, concurrent cold compress is applied. The duration of procedure depends on the tattoo size, and is generally 15-30 minutes.

Skin repair creams are recommended. Approximately 24 hours later, Vaseline is applied and bathing is allowed. Redness and swelling occur in the sites of application, followed by scabs that recover within 1-2 weeks. One may get back to daily activities and work.

It should be applied in sessions. The sessions are done with 2-3 months apart. The intervals between the sessions may vary depending on the wound healing factors. The number of sessions may vary depending on the person and the type of the tattoo. Although 1-2 sessions may be sufficient for dark colored tattoos, some require uğ to 10 sessions.
