Under-Eye Filers (Dark Circle Treatment)

One of the most salient parts of our face is the eye area. Under eye grooves and dark circles make people look tired and older. Although these grooves may be intrinsic, they become evident when the cheek tissue sags with increasing age. The hollow of under eye area makes this region look darker because of shadow. Since this area consists of very thin skin, the subcutaneous veins become easily visible and causes dark appearence. People who have darker skin tones may have also darker under eye circles because of genetichiperpigmentation. At the same time if the lymphatic drainage of under eye area is problematic baggy appearence may occur.

One of the products of a brand is manifactured for only this purpose. It contains hyaluronic acid that has minimal water retention capacity and 14 additional ingredients. The addition of certain substances into hyaluronic acid may ensure that grooves are filled and dark circles are faded by virtue of those additional substances. The filler is not visible under thin skin due to its fluid structure.

It is administered in sessions because the maximum dose cant be exceeded in one application. A total of 3 sessions (once a month) will be sufficient. Administration in sessions ensures that the unwanted effects are avoided and that long-lasting results are obtained.

Before Procedure
The areas of filling are determined. Collection of detailed patient anamnesis, patient examination, collection of the individual’s expectations, information about the procedure, photographing before the procedure, and evaluation of the results after the procedure are performed. No tests are required.

Procedure
Since the filler is fluid, the procedure may be performed using very thin needles; it does not cause pain or require anesthesia. The procedure is performed by microinjection method in the respective areas based on the individual’s needs. The commonly used fillers contain local anesthetic agents. These agents prevent pain during and after the procedure. The procedure takes 10-20 minutes.

After Procedure
Facial wash may take place half an hour after the process. Redness, ecchymosis or swelling may occur in the treated area after the filler administration. Swelling around the eyes are more common. One may get back to work on the next day.
